Energy and Environment
It Cannot be denied again that in the present era, all
activities performed modern society is very dependent on the availability of
energy. Almost in all sectors of activity, energy become staples that could not
be negotiable. Therefore, a country's progress will be closely related to the
adequacy of the availability of energy in the country. Developed countries such
as America, Japan, Korea and other countries, availability of energy in these
countries is sufficient to perform the activities in the various fields that
can be relied upon for the development of the nation and country. But in the
course of energy supply must consider environmental sustainability factors.
Because in this environment there are other living things that require a clean
and healthy environment. Environment of a country would be associated with
other countries, because we live on the same earth. Because of that each state
was obliged to take heed and avoid the things that can cause damage to the
environment.
Environmental damage such as global warming, are now
beginning to be felt in various parts of the world. As the air temperature
increases, sea level rise, which can drown small islands, and land around the
coast, the climate change, which has already occurred in several places,
including in this country. All of it because of the environment in which humans
and other living things have been contaminated. In fact, according to the
sources are to be believed, malignancy cyclone that recently hit like one part
in the mainland United States, predicted by experts as the effects of global
warming. Another threat is no less dangerous to human life, is the occurrence
of acid rain.
In Indonesia, entered the year 2006, there was a wind storm
that resulted in some of the flood in the area around the beach for days. As a
result, the fishermen could not go down to the sea to fish, so they are having
a hard time. And yet the thick rain caused flooding and landslides in some
areas. These events would still have a connection with global warming due to
environmental degradation.
If the causes are not addressed to this global minimized,
certainly damage to the environment is going to get worse the consequences will
be detrimental to all living things, including us. The biggest contributor to
overall environmental damage, is the pollution caused by the burning of fossil
fuels, such as coal, fuel oil, and natural gas on a large scale. Of burning it
results in greenhouse emissions as a cause of global warming.
Environmental issues is not a matter of just one country,
but it has become the responsibility of the entire nation and the state. Therefore,
various efforts were made to prevent added damage to the environment. In fact,
some countries are still using fossil fuels, trying to reduce greenhouse
emissions by using natural gas fuel is economically very competitive when
compared with the use of petroleum or coal. There are also natural gas still
produces CO2, but much less when compared with the use of petroleum and coal. In
addition, any natural gas also produce methane during the provision process,
which is all it can result in damage to the environment. Although lately
appeared other theories about the greenhouse effect, as according to American
researchers say that the variable activity of the sun that affect the rise and
fall of global temperatures.
However, reducing the burning of fossil fuels for energy
needs would have great benefits, not least as a backup austerity measures the
available natural resources to be used by our children and grandchildren later.
The burning of fossil fuels such as petroleum and coal on a large scale, is
used for the purposes of power generation, industrialization, and transportation.
Specifically for fuel power plants, the actual use of fossil fuels could have
minimized, because there are modern technologies that use other non-fossil
fuels more efficient productive, safe and non-polluting. Besides fossil fuels
such as fuel oil prices are likely to continue to rise, supply is also very
limited. People may not have continuous dependence on fossil fuels, because
someday reserves will be depleted.
Therefore, now is the time for Indonesia we utilize
non-fossil fuels for various purposes such as for power generation. Thus in
addition to participating in the efforts to conserve the global environment, as

in this country.
Here are some easy ways to save the environment:
1 Save Electricity
Electricity use very much energy when not in use. Let us
turn off the power, especially in the morning light and efficient use of
electricity at night because at 5 pm to 10 pm is the highest power consumption.
2 Save Water
Use enough water can help save the environment.
3. Throw Garbage in
its Place
These words are the one who is often taught by our parents

Plastic
